PLEASE NOTE: FROM 01/08/19 IT IS PREFERRED THAT ALL PRESCRIPTIONS BE SENT TO A LOCAL PHARMACY - IN AN ATTEMPT TO ALLEVIATE CAR PARKING ISSUES

 

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered through the following options:

  • Website - via the "Order Your Repeat Prescription Online" link above or via Online Services tab on the menu bar
  • Telephone 02837 566500 - this line is open Monday to Friday 9.00am - 11.00am and 2.00pm - 4.00pm (Thursday 9.00am - 11.00am ONLY)
  • Repeat Prescription Box - fill out an Order Form and drop it into the box near reception
  • In person - at the reception desk

The Practice requires 48 hours notice to process your request for repeat medication whether ordered by telephone, online or in person. Please ensure you order your repeat prescription at least 2-3 working days before running out of your medication to ensure treatment is continuous.

 

IT IS IMPORTANT TO USE THE REPEAT PRESCRIPTION TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ONLY.

REQUESTS FOR NON REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS FOR ACUTE ISSUES/MINOR AILMENTS, APPOINTMENTS OR RESULTS ETC. MUST BE MADE BY TELEPHONING THE MAIN PRACTICE NUMBER ON 02837 565600.

 

 


Acute Prescriptions

Acute prescriptions can be ordered during Practice opening hours either by telephoning: 02837 565600 or in person at the reception desk.

When ordering an acute prescription (for items such as an antibiotic, cream etc.) please remember to give the receptionist the following details: your name, address and DOB, your symptoms and how long you have had them. Please inform if you have already tried medication for this condition or if you have any allergies.

 

Acute prescriptions ordered between 8.30am-11.30am Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) will be ready for collection at 2.00pm the same day.  Acute prescriptions ordered between 11.30am - 3.00pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) will be ready for collection at 5.45pm the same day.  Acute prescriptions ordered after 3.00pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) will not be ready for collection until 2.00pm the following the day unless the patient ordering the prescription informs the receptionist that it is required for the same day, this prescription will then be ready for collection at 5.45pm. 

Patients can collect acute prescriptions at the reception desk or request that the prescription be sent to their preferred local pharmacy. Patients must indicate this request at the time of ordering their prescription. The Practice cannot guarantee when prescriptions will be collected by various chemists. Prescriptions will only be given out to chemists when they are signed by a GP.

  • Athlete's Foot
  • Haemorrhoids
  • Head Lice
  • Groin Area Infection/Itch
  • Threadworms
  • Vaginal Thrush
  • Ear Wax
  • Mouth Ulcers/Inflammation
  • Oral Thrush
  • Scabies
